Searching for a Purse

I hate shopping for purses, shoes and accessories.  I’m not even joking.  I’m not sure why I am the polar opposite of every female I know.  And it really can drive me nuts sometimes.

So I haven’t purchased a new purse in, um, four years.  Yeah, and even that purse was a cheap, $30 purse from JCPenney.  See, I told you I really don’t care.  And I only own two other purses and those are even older.  But when my husband starts to be embarrassed  by my ugly, yellow, plasticy purse then I figure it is time to get a new one.  The other day he said, “Are you really going to take that purse?  Don’t you have another one?”  No husband, I do not.  But at least that gives me permission to buy a new one.

I’m still not going to spend more than $50 on a new purse though.  So of course I spent several hours at the mall and came out empty-handed.  Poor Ells was trying her best to assist me, touching purses and exclaiming, “cute!”  Oh well, I guess if I just wait a few more months then I will be toting around a diaper bag again.

And another thing… I hate Coach purses.  I’m not just saying that just because I can’t afford them.  I really, honestly think they are hideous.  Holy walking billboard that says, I love to waste money on a bag to carry all my crap around in!  I like things a little more inconspicuous.  I guess I am a little more “comfy.”  Not the type to get all glitzed up.  Maybe a little more country, but without the Wranglers and hat.  I like Fossil handbags alright.  Still too much though.  Sigh.

See, if I tried to imagine myself liking a purse it would probably look something like this.  But I would take that ugly, dangly key off of it.  I’m not sure what that’s all about.

Any suggestions, anyone?  This is clearly not my field of expertise.
